İstanbul is the leading city where the architectural art reaches it’s peak in water structures. “İstanbul: Civilization of Water”, reveals many of the structures which have resisted time over a thousand years since the Rome-Byzantine and Ottoman eras. The documentary which was filmed over than a year, shows detailed information about the dams and aqueducts along the historical Kırkcesme, Halkali and Hamidiye water ways, along with the cistern, maksems, water scales, fountains, sebils and sadirvans, which were also used to store and distrubute water in the city. The documentary presents an unmached opportunity to fully understand this extraordinary system, in it’s integrity by giving new meaning to the structures which the people fo Istanbul pass by everyday.

NEW METRO SUBWAY STATION IN ISTANBUL WITH FLOWERS AND TREES


Prime Minister Erdoğan, in Istanbul, ending the construction of 4 Levent-Haciosman Metro Subway Station Line Haciosman attended the opening ceremony of the last section.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Station Metro Station Haciosman Darussafaka Prime Minister Erdogan said: "Today we opened the last chapter, only one station, but also a full-fledged transfer center. 90 million pounds cost of 600 vehicles built, this station With a capacity of 4-storey car park is located 2 subway floor. The station, bus and mini bus bays, taxi coming from the direction of Saunders with pockets of public transport, rail system that integrates a center. The subway line, the ongoing construction of the Marmaray, Kadıköy-Kartal, Bus Station When integrated with line-Bagcilar-Ikitelli, Istanbul's transportation will be eliminated from the concept.''

“ONE MASTER- THOUSAND MASTERS” SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECT

Anadolu Sigorta announced its 85th year with a social responsibility project.
“One master- Thousand masters” project aims to revive the disappearing local crafts in Turkey.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the project aims to support local professions, to transfer the experiences of local craftsmen to younger generations, to create job opportunities for young people and to preserve the local values in the long run.
There are three parties involved in this project. The Ministry, NGO's and the company.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism provides technical assistance and coordinates the vocational courses in the selected cities. The NGOs prepare the content of the courses, choose attendees and give education. Anadolu Sigorta finances, communicates and coordinates the project.

The project is planned for a period of 10 years. Each year 5 cities and 5 new crafts are selected. 20 people attend the courses, in each city.
As a result, in ten years time 1000 new craftsmen who have been trained by the masters of local crafts will be presented to the community.

MAGICAL IZNIK TILES, MAGICAL COLORS AND THE PATTERNS

 If you see a Iznik tile first time in your life, this will be a first moment of falling a new love. You can never forget these colors and patterns. When you visit a historical mosque anywhere in Turkey, you can meet magnificent Iznik tiles inside or outside of the building. But you don't need to wait anymore, just have look examples of these beatiful tiles and read the stories about their motifs.



LEAVES-SAZYOLU
The leaf plays a very important role in İznik tiles design. Drawing a leaf motif according to the rules of classical tecnique. There are several styles of drawing a leaf, for example Şahkulu, a painter from Bağdat who was brought along and sent to Amasya by Yavuz Sultan Selim in 1514, developed the tecnique called Sazyolu. This style found a wide range of application in architectural ornamentations.


RUMI
Rumi motifs, which has an important place in the illumination work, have been in use for a very long time in decorating stonworks, woodworks, tiles, textiles and metalworks. Animal motifs are the most commonly used motifs in the works of art contributed to the civilization from rich treasury of Turkish culture. The importance of animal agriculture to the Turcs living in the Central Asian steps is a well known fact. Animal, as a symbol of bravery force, loyalty and fertility was source of inspiration for the artists.

HATAYI
Hatayi is the pattern formed by stylizing the vertical section and the botanical forms of different flowers. This motif which was introduced to Anatolia from Middle Asia via Iran has reached its most frequent use and perfection in the Ottoman Empire.
